BabyStyle Hybrid Stroller – My First Impressions

I’m sure you can agree that one of the most exciting things about pregnancy is pram shopping. But it can be quite confusing. I mean, which do you go for? The Classic? The three-wheeler? The jogger?

The list goes on, but now we welcome; The Hybrid.

We were SO excited to receive this gorgeous Tandem Pram & Stroller from Babystyle. After some research online I saw some really good reviews and with it being a 3-in-1 I couldn’t wait to check it out myself!

It arrived in three large Hybrid boxes and I couldn’t wait to get open & explore! Inside were the instructions for how to put the pram together which were really easy to follow and *Girl Power!* I managed to do it all on my own.
We chose the Stonewash colour for the pram and I’d go as far to say the colour is even nicer in real life. The gorgeous brown leather trim around the handles and zips too are the perfect finishing touch for the pram and I feel it compliments the grey fabric colour really well too.

One of the good things about the Hybrid pram is that is can be converted into 3 different models which means it will suit newborns right the way through to toddlers and there is no need to change your stroller 6 months down the line!

We were extremely lucky to receive the Tandem Axel, which gives us the option to have both the carrycot and stroller seat in use at the same time for Belle and Baby boy or use it as a single stroller too!

I really love the look of the carrycot seat so far, it looks comfortable and padded for baby and has the option of a sun visor and a vented mesh at the back to keep the seat well ventilated in the warmer weather.
The stroller seat unit is equally as stunning. Offering the same sun visor and vented mesh at the back of the seat unit means theres no worrying about baby being protected and keeping him cool when the warmer weather arrives.
The straps are completely different on the Hybrid too, resembling a car seat with a press and pull button to tighten and adjust (thank God, because those individual strap adjusters were just awful to use right?)

The quality of the material is fantastic and the pram as a unit feels sturdy and secure with a comfortable leather handle which makes the pram easy to control and move around. On either side of the handlebar there are two clasps that adjust the height of the handlebar, and I was really surprised with just how much of a range of movement there is!
…I’m a short 5″ something and my husband is a lot taller, so i’m happy that whoever is pushing the little ones around will be comfortable as they’ll be able to adjust the height really easily.

Now one thing I always find myself doing when I see prams and stollers is checking out their basket space. I can’t help it. I feel it’s so important for parents to have that extra space under the pram to throw in the changing bag and a few bits of shopping without having the pain of carrying plastic bags too!

Well. This basket space? Huge.

I couldn’t believe it. It fits the branded Hybrid Changing Bag in absolutely perfectly but as the changing bag has the option of being hung around the handle bar too, the basket can be used for carrying those week day essentials.

Overall, my first impressions of this gorgeous pram/stroller is really good. I love the style, and feel more than comfortable with how safe and secure it feels too. I can’t wait until we can start using it!
Watch out for my full review in a few weeks time! 🙂
