BabyStyle Hybrid Tandem Stroller – Full Review

We’ve been using our BabyStyle Hybrid Stroller for around 8 weeks now and we really couldn’t be more impressed with it.
The drive, the style, the simplicity of putting it up and down are, of course, all major factors when choosing a pram and i’m so pleased the Hybrid ticks all of these boxes.

As a mother to three under 6, I’ve had my fair share of prams/strollers and, over time, I’ve learnt what I like in a pram and things that I couldn’t possibly live without.
One thing I was really looking for this time around was something stylish and modern but still had all the safety features in place like a 5 point safety harness, a lie-flat option and a childs safety bar.

And luckily, the Hybrid has all of these! One of our favourite features is the gorgeous brown leather trim around the handlebars, zips and footrest of the stroller’s seat. Not only does it show the modern style of the pram, but having the leather trim around the handlebar it makes it incredibly comfortable to push too. I’ve also found the secret zip at the back of the stroller to be the perfect place to store my phone, purse & car keys too, so even with our bags (and endless amounts of children’s snacks) I always know where my valuables are.

When i’m using the stroller as a tandem, I love how compact it is. Tim works 6 days a week so I needed something that I could still manage on my own (and not need that extra pair of hands to open double doors for us!) The seats are positioned behind one another, making it so easy to manoeuvre and manage. I did worry that I’d have to walk quite far behind the pram so I wouldn’t bang my shins but I can happily say that so far no shins have been banged in the process 🙂

Just recently when we were out visiting Hever Castle and quite a few people commented on the stroller and how lovely it looked. I think the most striking thing about it is it’s wheels. Branded with the Hybrid logo, their PU puncture resistant wheels stand out and yet are still swivel and lockable with a quick-release feature.

The carrycot itself is gorgeous too. It’s spacious, sturdy and benefits your newborn being in the health promoting lie flat position too. Maximillian is still too small to use the seat unit so I like knowing he is completely secure and comfortable when we’re out and in the safest position for him and his spine too!

Belle has really enjoyed using the stroller seat unit and if you saw my previous First Impressions post, I mentioned the new car-seat harness that the Hybrid now offers which I LOVE. It’s easily adjustable when she’s in it and with it still being a 5 point harness she is as safe as she possibly can be.

Both the seat units can be used on their own or together & with a simple click, the seats only require a effortless pull and lift. Another plus to the Hybrid are the Height Adapters- where the stroller seat can be lifted up higher. So many times we’ve been to a cafe and it feels as though the stroller is so much lower than the table we’re sat at, so this is brilliant to make sure everyone is at a good, sociable level.

I really love how much the Hybrid adapts to suit your family needs.

Overall, I feel the Hybrid offers far more than other prams/strollers on the market with it’s fresh & up-to-date modern style that not only suits your baby/child for now but grows with your family too! The style hasn’t compromised the safety of the pram in anyway either, with both seat units being locked into place when attached onto the chassis and with the new addition of a 5 point car seat style harness being introduced onto the seat of the stroller, I feel it’s answered all our parent prayers as manually adjusting other strollers’ harness straps was just a nightmare!

The only issue I found when using the Pram with both seat units attached is the lack of basket space, but the handlebar comes with integral handbag hooks on both sides which makes life easier.

I feel the Hybrid Tandem is excellent value for money, starting at the RRP price of £600 and is aimed perfectly at parents who are looking for something different from the usual stroller and that can adapt with the family!

We adore ours

G x
